Let’s Celebrate the Victories –

I have been practicing immigration law for over 30 years now.  I have always enjoyed this area of law because I get to help individuals achieve their goal of living in the United States.

Over the last 30 years I have successfully navigated many clients through the U.S. immigration maze, I have had many successes (obviously, if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t still be in this line of business.)  However, I haven’t made a point of posting even the employment-based successes on my website for several reasons – I’ve been too busy working on active cases to update my website;  although I’ve had only a few, I’ve allowed adverse decisions to color my ability to personally enjoy the approvals (it is too easy to focus on the negatives); or the immigration process took so long that by the time the goal is achieved, we have become weary and too tired to celebrate the achievements.  In addition, a big reason why I haven’t posted success stories is because  I haven’t felt comfortable bragging of “my” successes when most of the employment based approvals have primarily been because my amazing clients have had the talents to be qualified as “persons of extraordinary ability” or whose entry is “in the national interest of the United States” or they are due to employers who have been willing to go through the long sponsorship processes for their employees to help them achieve the goal; I have only been the “navigator” through their immigration hurdles.

After all that we have had to go through the last several years – not just COVID delays but a prior administration with anti-immigration policies, rhetoric and outright lies about the value that immigration brings to the United States, I have come to the realization that I should celebrate my clients’ successes because each approval represents a change in someone’s life. It isn’t about bragging – it is about focusing on positives at a time when we could all use it.

And so, I have decided to start posting my success stories as they happen.  From time to time, I will also highlight historic cases that have meant so much to me and which have encouraged me to continue to provide immigration services in the United States.  I hope you will continue to check in to my website from time to time and help me celebrate.
